Answer

You’ll be talking to an AI, and the conversation is recorded. Please don’t share anything sensitive.

A contractor’s work van with the side door open on a Mesa street at sunset.

The job goes to whoever answers.

Three calls you never hear about. Here is what happens to them now, and what happens instead.

Lost to voicemail

The July changeout.

4:40pm, you’re in an attic. She gets your voicemail, calls the next name on the list, and he picks up.

We answer as your business, ask what’s wrong, where and when, and book her for Thursday morning on your calendar. She gets a text with the address.

Lost overnight

The 2:00am burst pipe.

He leaves a message. By the time you hear it the water’s been off for six hours and someone else has the job.

It rings your on-call tech, then you, and keeps trying. Both of you get a text with the address and the problem.

Lost to a slow callback

The estimate nobody booked.

She called Tuesday, you called back Friday, she’d already signed with the other guy.

Booked on the spot, confirmed by text, on your calendar before you’re out of the crawlspace.

What happens when you can’t pick up.

  1. Your phone rings first.
  2. We answer as your business.
  3. Booked, texted, or paged.
  4. If our side fails mid-call, the caller isn’t dropped.
What happens when you can’t pick up Your phone rings first, for about twenty seconds. If you pick up, we never hear it. If nobody picks up, the call forwards to us and we answer as your business. Then the job is booked on your calendar and the caller gets a text; in an emergency your on-call cell rings, then you. If our side drops mid-call, the caller is not dropped: the call rings your phone. About twenty seconds. If you pick up, we never hear it. If you don’t, your carrier forwards the call to us. Nothing to install.

First thing, it says it’s an AI assistant and the call is recorded. Then it asks what’s wrong, where, how urgent, and who’s calling. ZIP code first, then the street, and it reads the address back.

A job gets booked on your calendar, as soon as you allow, and the caller gets a text with the address. Nothing is confirmed until they reply YES. An emergency rings your on-call cell, then you.

They hear an apology and the call rings your phone. We publish this because nobody else does.

One price. The catch is on this page too.

Everything is in the $149. The limits are listed right next to it.

$149a month

What’s in it

  • Every call answered, all hours, every day
  • Jobs booked on your own calendar
  • A confirmation text to the caller with the address
  • Emergencies paged to your on-call cell, then you
  • A daily email with every call and its recording, at the time you pick
  • Setup done by us, on a call
  • Answers in Spanish when the caller starts in Spanish

Where it stops

  • 400 minutes of answered calls a month, then 35 cents a minute, billed to the second. Never an automatic upgrade.
  • You choose how soon it books: 48 hours ahead unless you allow less, as little as 2 hours.
  • It won’t quote your prices.
  • If it isn’t sure, it takes a message instead of guessing.

Not happy? Tell us within 30 days of your first confirmation text and we refund every dollar. No questions asked.

Early-access price. Start before our customer portal launches and it stays $149 for as long as you stay. After that, new accounts pay $297.

The questions you’d ask us first.

Will customers hang up on an AI?
Some will. It says it’s an AI in the first sentence, because a business caught tricking a worried homeowner loses her and everyone she tells. The ones who stay get booked, and the hang-ups show up in your daily email too.
What if it breaks in the middle of a call?
The caller hears an apology and the call rings your phone. If it’s the middle of the night, it goes to your voicemail like it does today.
Do I need a new number or a new phone?
No. You keep both. We set the forwarding with you on a call. On an iPhone, Live Voicemail has to be off, and we handle that on the same call.
What if it gets the address wrong?
It asks for the ZIP code first, then the street, checks it against the address database, and reads back only the checked version. The caller’s text has the same address on it.
What happens at night?
The same thing, all hours. An emergency rings your on-call cell, then you, and keeps trying. A job that isn’t urgent gets booked, and the confirmation text goes out after 8:00am.
Is there a contract?
Month to month, cancel any time. Our support hours are part of the deal, and they’re on the pricing page.

Next time you’re on a roof.

Forward the line once. The calls you can’t take get answered, booked and texted back, and you read about them in one email a day.
